A Pioneer in the field of Alternate Dispute Resolution, Robert has mediated more than 4000 cases since early 1990, with a settlement success around ninety (90) percent. Co-Mediator of one of the largest single-plaintiff mediations ever conducted in Texas, (38 Defendants and their Attorneys) settled in June of 1990 in Houston, Texas (Fisher, Gallagher, Perrin and Lewis, Plaintiff Attorneys). Robert mediated and settled over 3500 cases from January 1994 to January 2013, with more than Six Hundred and Fifty Million ($650,000,000.00) Dollars in combined pleadings. Robert has settled a number of seven-figure personal injury and wrongful death cases in the past twenty-four months, and has mediated cases in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Wyoming & Washington.
Robert has extensive experience in Personal Injury-Insurance Claims, H.R.-Employment matters, Wrongful Termination, Divorce and Family, Building trades – Premises Defect & Liability, Property & Real Estate, Auto (MVA) Liability, Toxic Tort, School Bus & Interstate Trucking accidents, D.O.T.& I.C.C., Nursing Home & Medical Malpractice, Dram Shop cases, and other general tort matters. Robert has a broad knowledge of the Medicare Secondary Payer System as well as the procedures under Medicare’s new set aside requirements, and frequently negotiates Medicare Liens for Attorneys and Insurers. Robert has mediated settlement conferences for 17 of the top 20 insurance companies in the United States during the past five years and has contributed articles for “Settlement Week” attorney / mediator training and CLE seminars. Experienced in design and implementation of law firm ADR systems, Robert receives frequent Mediation and Arbitration appointments from sitting Judges, from Cameron & Hidalgo County in the Southern District to Dallas & Fort Worth in the Northern District.
As panel Arbitrator for both AMA and AAA, and recipient of frequent U.S. Court appointments, Robert has Arbitrated over 400 disputes since 1978, including, but not limited to, Texas Motor Vehicle Commission, Texas Auto Dealers Association, Texas Motor Home Dealers Association (consumer relations), Resolution Trust Corp, Employment / Title VII, Real Estate, Construction Defects, Business Contracts, Intellectual Property, Building Trades cases, Commercial Banking, TMPL, Police Unions, Civil Service Title XXV & FMLA matters, and Personal Injury cases.

Robert has mediated settlements for over twenty (20) Governmental Agencies and for seventeen (17) Texas Counties, Municipalities and Cities, including San Antonio, Dallas, Fort Worth, Irving, Austin, Houston, El Paso, Eagle Pass, Weslaco, McAllen, Mission, Edinburg & Laredo. Robert mediates regularly with the majority of top insurance companies operating in Texas. Robert is on the preferred mediator list of several of the top property & casualty Insurance companies.
